Jason Harrison, a long-time player in the DBMT is 2022’s DBMT recipient.

If you spend time at the tournament, you probably know Jason. He plays for the Legend Killers, and his speed on the field has earned him the nickname Willy Mays Hayes. He’s even reigned as Dump King!

What you probably don’t know is that Jason has been struggling with cancer since 2017. It started with a headache bad enough to send him to the hospital. He was immediately sent into surgery, and a softball-sized tumor was removed from his brain. With radiation and chemotherapy, the cancer remained at bay until 2019 when it began to affect the speech and mobility centers of his brain.

Jason has had to undergo radiation, chemotherapy, and various other therapies. The proceeds from the 2022 tournament will help pay for some of these treatments, and hopefully bring Jason some peace of mind during this challenging time.
